New Year Skin Resolutions You Need to Make

Let's talk ‘New Year Resolutions’. Every year we set them and by the end of January, they are non-existent. As we throw 2020 and 2021 in the bin (because let’s be honest that's where they belong) we venture into the new year of 2022! This is the perfect time to set yourself up and pay a little more love to yourself and your skin by creating habits you won't break! Skincare can be overwhelming at the simplest of times. When there are so many products and so many questions that never seem to get answered! Let's break down some “do’s and don’ts” to kickstart your new year so it's maintainable!

Protect!

If there is one thing you take into 2022 I pray to the skin gods that you add an SPF into your everyday routine. Many of us only use SPF when we are happily relaxing at the beach (hopefully somewhere warm and tropical) however, SPF is needed daily, 365 days a year. The importance of SPF protection is not limited to only sun damage and avoiding the hot girl “lobster” summer but, preventative from skin cancers, wrinkles, pigmentation, and avoiding inflammation and redness.

Cleanse!

For the love of all that is good in this world, we need to introduce daily cleansing in our routine. Set a resolution to remove your makeup before bed, cleanse and sleep with clean fresh skin. Your cleansing routine should not take more than 2 minutes. Pick your favorite LUNA device and your chosen cleanser and let the device work for you! I love completing this in the shower as my conditioner sits and I transform into a Disney princess with locks and skin that could only come from the beauty gods. [caption id="attachment_10485" align="alignnone" width="815"]LUNA 3 Plus thermal cleansing device is the only of its kind in the world. It is a staff favorite when it comes to cleansing and prepping the skin for the serums, moisturizers and SPF to follow. [/caption]

Hydrate & moisturize!

DRINK YOUR WATER PEOPLE! If water isn’t your thing try flavoring your water with fancy fruits and citrus and carry around a water bottle so you don't forget! We all want to glow from the inside out so allow H20 to do its thing! Let us not forget to hydrate our skin! Moisturiser is not only for our face but our bodies need it too! Dehydration of the skin can amplify the aging process, exposing fine lines. Avoid long hot showers or baths that can further dehydrate the skin, pick your favourite body & face moisturizer, and focus on targeting those dry spots. [caption id="attachment_7973" align="alignnone" width="863"]UFO 2 supercharged facial masking device, combined with our range of hydrating masks helps to nurture, plump, and hydrate the skin for a healthy all-day glow.[/caption]

Be consistent!

Most importantly stay consistent! All is well and good if you upkeep for a couple of weeks but for true results make the above resolutions part of your daily routine & create that self-care habit! In summary, use your LUNA to cleanse, moisturize, drink water & protect your skin. This process should take you no longer than 5 minutes and along with consistency, you'll be glowing by the time Santa comes to visit.

And if pimples surprise you from time to time, try FOREO's ESPADA, your strongest weapon against acne and pimples. :)
