LUNA fofo on The Ultimate Travel Test: #SkinExpedition Part 1

Taking the road less traveled... When FOREO launched its smartest brush to date, LUNA fofo, a lot was riding on the pocket-sized skin saver. A world first, never before had a beauty tech brand dared to release a device that doesn’t just cleanse, but actually analyzes skin to respond to changes in hydration and environment - all in real time. Developing technology was the first challenge. The second? Demonstrating that those advanced dual skin sensors actually work! With that in mind, FOREO invited four brand ambassadors from all around the world to help put LUNA fofo to the ultimate test: could it prove not just travel-friendly, but travel savvy? In other words: could the device read and most importantly, respond to the effects of different climatic conditions on the skin? Spoiler alert: yes it can!

#SkinExpedition

To help us out in our global experiment, we asked brand ambassadors Jan Sokolowsky, Joni Sios, Sophie Tatar and Lauren Lewis to pack their bags and join us on a round-the-world #SkinExpedition, taking in four very different environments. Their task was to test LUNA fofo in some pretty extreme conditions. And fofo’s undertaking? To keep everyone’s skin in tip-top condition in every single destination. From Ice Cool To Warm Smiles

Our testers set off from FOREO’s homeland of Sweden, after toasting the journey ahead with drinks at the nothing-if-not extreme Ice Bar in Stockholm! The very next day, they jetted off to a very different setting… of Uganda in East Africa. Hot and humid, the pitstop really put ambassadors’ skin outside of its comfort zone. The good news is that not only did LUNA fofo create a customized cleansing routine to keep each adventurer looking peachy, we also met some very special new friends who guaranteed smiles all around… It was a total privilege to meet all the wonderful kids and staff at Save Children with Autism Uganda. We went armed with plenty of Mr. M t-shirts and ISSA play toothbrushes both to celebrate World Smile Day and because we’ve heard firsthand how our sonic silicone brushes help people with sensory sensitivity issues - a known effect of autism. Hot and Humid in South East Asia

The next stop was the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur. Truly one of South East Asia’s most dynamic cities, it’s also known for its severe air pollution and humidity. We were delighted to introduce our FOREO ambassadors to colleagues working in the metropolis, who outlined the skincare challenges of their particular environment. And LUNA fofo? It passed the pollution test with flying colors!    Expect more serious travel envy in the coming days, as we reveal the next exotic destinations visited by our intrepid testers. Did LUNA fofo manage to keep their skin glowing in two more dramatically different climates? And just how jet-lagged were our jet-setting ambassadors by this point??!
