Feeling Overworked? This Is a Perfect Way to Relax!

Long working hours, too many tasks, too little time, work, work, work… And suddenly you can’t think or live or do anything else without being stressed or anxious. Well, that's the major red flag that you are overworked and you need to relax.

Press pause before it's too late

It is always easier to say than to do, but when you see results from the study published in Environment International, you’ll start to think of “me-time” as a great and important remedy and therapy. Namely, World Health Organization and International Labour Organization estimate that between 2000 and 2016, the number of deaths from heart disease due to working long hours increased by 42%, and from stroke by 19%. So, before it is too late, press PAUSE and just slow down. If you are too busy (and overworked) to think about ways to relax, we are here to help you!

Turn off your devices for a while

First of all, stop idealizing overworking. It is just not healthy to be productive 24/7 (even a busy bee needs a time-out). Just like your brain needs to create, it needs a rest now and then. So, when you don’t work, take seriously the importance of resting and relaxation. Luckily, you don’t need to go far away to experience a spa atmosphere since you can easily enjoy a perfect at-home spa treatment. Every day for a short period, turn off your laptop and mobile phone. Even the TV. Nothing bad won’t happen if you are off for half an hour, but you will start noticing how meaningful for you and your mental health is enjoying the silence. This “silence-bridge” between your working mode and your resting mode is important because it gives you a smooth transition into “you-time”.

Good food nourishes your brain

Now, it is time to pamper yourself. The easiest way to do it is to eat some delicious and healthy food, read a book, watch a TV show or a movie, go for a walk and, of course, enjoy some nourishing facials. [caption id="attachment_10254" align="alignnone" width="834"]overworked relax healthy food Think of healthy food as something that nourishes your brain giving you energy to survive a long working day[/caption] Why is food so important? When you are stressed and overworked, you don’t have time to relax even when you need to eat. And instead of eating healthy food, you always pick something which is known as comfort food. It is usually some snack high in fat and sugar that will boost the level of dopamine very quickly, but in the long term, it will do more harm than good. So, next time you crave unhealthy snacks, pick some fruits and nuts. Think of high-quality foods as something that nourishes your brain giving you good energy to survive a long working day.

When I have used my UFO2 I find there is still enough gel for another treatment, so I squeeze it out and use it again! Well, I am retired, but thanks to the UFO2 I don't look it.
