Don't worry Earnestine, it is normal that the charging cable for your Luna 3 does not intrude all the way into the UFO itself. In other words, the Luna 3 charger does not press up against the device while charging it, but there is indeed a small gap. Please don't worry, it is simply how the Luna 3 was designed - the charger is in fact designed to be slightly apart from the UFO whilst charging it.
