Pumpkin Mask Recipe

For nourishing and detoxifying tired skin

Pumpkin Face Mask Benefits for Skin

Pumpkin contains vitamin A, C, and E, and antioxidants, which help fight sun damage and wrinkles. It also has fruit enzymes that help naturally exfoliate dead skin cells. Finally, it contains zinc and potassium to combat redness. Honey locks in moisture to keep your skin plump and glowing. Apple cider vinegar detoxes skin, reduces inflammation, and helps fight acne.

Ingredients

1 small slice of pumpkin (roughly ½ cup) 1 raw egg ½ teaspoon honey ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar

How to Make a Pumpkin Mask

1. Puree the pumpkin in a food processor until smooth. 2. Add in egg, honey, and apple cider vinegar and blend. 3. Apply to your clean face. 4. Let it soak in for 15 to 20 minutes. 5. Rinse and apply your usual skin care products. Pumpkin Body Scrub

For gentle all-over exfoliation

Pumpkin Body Scrub Benefits for Skin

Honey moisturizes skin while the pumpkin’s fruit enzymes and brown sugar gently dissolves dead skin cells.

Ingredients

½ cup pureed pumpkin ½ cup organic brown sugar 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon honey 2 drops vanilla extract

How to Make a Pumpkin Scrub

1. Puree the pumpkin in a food processor. 2. Add in remaining ingredients and mix together. 3. In the shower or tub, apply the scrub on dry skin. Gently rub to exfoliate dead skin cells. 4. Rinse off the remaining scrub in the shower. Your skin will instantly feel smoother.

Papaya and Pumpkin Enzyme Mask or Peel

For gentle facial exfoliation and fading acne scars

Note: This mask also doubles as a peel that will gently exfoliate your skin. Be sure to do a test patch before you place the mask/peel on your face and only do this once a month. You may notice some pink skin after removing the peel due to an increased circulation. Don’t be alarmed. This is natural and should go away within 20 minutes.

Papaya and Pumpkin Enzyme Mask Benefits for Skin

Both papaya and pumpkin contain powerful fruit enzymes that naturally remove dead skin cells and get rid of blemishes, hyperpigmentation, and acne scars to reveal smooth, glowing skin.

Ingredients

12 ounce pureed pumpkin 1 papaya 1 egg

How to Make a Papaya and Pumpkin Enzyme Mask

1. Puree the pumpkin and the papaya (with seeds removed) in a food processor. 2. Mix the egg into the mask. 3. Apply the mask to a clean face. Leave on for 8 to 10 minutes. 4. Wipe off gently with a cloth and cool water. The water will neutralize the peel. Your skin deserves to pampered. Whether you reap the detoxifying benefits of our pumpkin mask recipe, dissolve dead skin cells with our pumpkin body scrub, or fade acne scars with our papaya and pumpkin enzyme mask, your skin will be glowing...and not in a creepy way. Have some fun this Halloween with these fabulous DIYs!

This is awesome, thank you for writing this! I have a green pumpkin that I have no clue what to do with and I thought there HAS to be some kind of skin care DIY's that use pumpkin. Can't wait to try the face mask, that sounds amazing.

Can the mask be made ahead of time and kept in frig or freezer?

Dear Barb, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, you should not use our masks once they reach the expiration date. Also, we don't recommend storing them in the frig or freezer as the UFO™ will heathen them up or cool them down depending on the treatment. Hope this answers your questions. :)
