Top 4 Movember-Making Mustache Styles

Movember
Time to grow out those crumb-catchers, boys. Movember is a month-long event where men grow mustaches - a.k.a. ‘Mo’s - in the name of charity. Originally an Australian initiative, Movember has become a global movement in the last decade. The foundation addresses some of the biggest men’s health issues, including prostate and testicular cancer, as well as mental health and suicide prevention. Last year, the Movember movement was executed in 20 countries across the world and through the growth of more than half a million moustaches, the initiative raised USD $67.5 million. This year, FOREO is doing its part to support the cause by offering a LUNA 2 for Men to every man around the world that raises more than 20,000 USD for Movember. Because after a month of not shaving at all in the name of testicles, some pre-shave prep is totally necessary and well-deserved. Not sure where to start? First things first, register your lip sweater here. Then, decide which 'stache style suits you best - are you a pushbroom kinda guy or more of a bro-mo? Check out the style guide below to find out.

Scruffy Mustache

Just because your facial hair is a little on the sparse side doesn’t mean you can’t participate. This Movember mustache is easy to grow out and maintain, since all it requires is zero grooming and a no-touch rule between mustache and goatee.

The Tom Selleck

The Chevron is the stuff of mustache legends, and requires a certain amount of commitment. It can take several months to grow out. So before embarking on this mustache quest, consider if it’s right for you. It works best on straighter hair and can be maintained by trimming longer hair that begins to grow over your mouth.

The Horseshoe

Adopting Hulk Hogan’s signature style isn’t for everyone. You’ll need a few months to grow your hair thick enough - and to work up the necessary courage - to pull it off. Are you man enough... brother?

The Pencil

Who doesn’t want to look like a debonair movie star straight out of the 1940s? This style has ‘gentleman’ written all over it. Slightly easier to grow out, this Clark Gable throwback just needs some extra attention around the bottom to help maintain the pencil-straight shape.

How to Grow a Mustache

Growing out a mustache will test your patience - it doesn’t just happen overnight - so you’ll have to commit to sticking with it, even through the awkward and uncomfortable stages. The simplest way to go about a Movember mustache is to grow out all your facial hair at the same time, so you can skip the pubescent teenager look.

How to Unveil Your Masterpiece

Once things have thickened up, it’s time to shave your face and reveal that glorious Movember mustache. But before you break out the razor, remember to exfoliate. Gentle exfoliation can help expedite facial hair growth, plus it helps prevent razor burn, and you definitely don’t need unsightly red bumps stealing any of the spotlight from your new mustache. LUNA 2 for Men is engineered to get rid of dead skin cells and grime that can get in the way of your facial hair goals. Movember
