My Internship at FOREO: Nicole Law

Last year FOREO was looking for a Social Marketing and Influencer assistant fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. Apart from her brilliant academic achievements, Nicole had the cultural background required for the role, so after successfully passing recruitment process, she joined FOREO in September 2017 for a one-year internship. Primarily Nicole was contracted to help grow our audience and reach foreign consumers who visit U.K. via our social media channels. However, from the very first day we could see that she was up for a much bigger role within marketing function. Her persistence, willingness to learn and constant improvement was positively received across our U.K. office and Global HQ as well. More than once she has demonstrated what it takes to go an extra mile and contribute to the tasks way above her knowledge or experience. She became irreplaceable member of marketing team and we were very excited to convert her contract to permanent position and offer her a full-time Marketing Assistant role. I can’t imagine a day in Marcomms department without Nicole. She keeps track not only of all day-to-day tasks but makes sure everything is delivered and done on time. She is a key link between Global Team and PR agency and picks up anything and everything in order to help team perform at its most efficient. But her attitude and willingness to learn is what makes the real difference, she is flexible, adapts well and is always positive - this is so much needed in our nowadays ever-changing and fast-paced environment.

Nicole’s comments:

The past 6 months at FOREO has been great, I have learnt a lot of new marketing skills and terminology, as well as having the opportunity to put into practise what I have learnt in textbooks and during university. The company has given a lot of opportunities to grow and learn while on the job, such as organising marketing events. I have gained valuable lessons on the importance of time management and effective communications. I am hoping to carry on progressing within my role and continue to improve my skills on project management and problem solving.
