A Beauty Insider Look: Our 7 Favorite Eye Creams

Eye products are like sunscreen - the sooner you start, the better. You don’t need to be an AARP member before it’s time to add an eye cream to your repertoire -  the skin around the eyes is thin and delicate, so it ages faster than the rest of your face. But when it comes to eye products, it can be difficult to tell which ones actually work and which ones are just regular face cream dolloped out into tinier jars and marketed as a miracle. So we polled our beauty editors, cosmetic development specialists, and even a few interns to bring you our favorite eye products and top recommendations:

7. Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum

We couldn’t find anyone in the office who has tried this one, but it looks uh-mazing. So if you’ve tried it, @ me in the comments - let’s talk.

6. Cerave Eye Repair Cream

A drugstore (and personal) fave. It’s inexpensive and it works, so if you’re still bathing in the glory of your youth and don’t really feel the need to invest in any heavy-duty anti-aging potions, this is a great place to start.

5. Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream

I’m constantly on the lookout for new eye products to try out as my under eye area has become increasingly dry and sensitive over the past few years. This one works like a charm and gave me the perfect amount of hydration to get my day started. Plus people stopped saying I look "tired" on a weekly basis...

4. Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

More than a few people recommended this little beaut, so clearly Kiehl’s is doing something right. It’s rich in avocado oil, which is the new coconut oil... You can cook with it! You can clean with it! You can use it to solve math equations! Or, just use a bit on your skin for an instant glow-up and wrinkle-fighting moisture.

3. Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Crème

If you’re looking to get rid of under eye bags or sad dark circles, hop aboard the Vitamin C train - choo choo! But the real MVP ingredient here is the banana powder, which makeup artists swear by for instant color-correction. According to FOREO interns, this is to eye products what Kanye is to Twitter users - addicting.

2. Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream

I’ve never been impressed by an eye product, but this one did the trick. Moisturizing, brightening - very good.

Lea Couchellou, Cosmetic Dev. Specialist

If it’s good enough for Lea (our resident French beauty guru)... it’s good enough for us!

1. Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream

Sure, it sounds weird. But Korean skincare is the creme de la creme, so load us up with some snail slime.
This brand always has a very high concentration of active ingredients (this one is 80% Snail Filtrate). It’s a bit thick and heavy, but since I only apply it at night, it’s ok. It leaves my eye contour feeling refreshed and super soft.
